Defining a New Location

Last Updated: May 19, 2015 05:24AM UTC

How do I define a new location?

You can either define a new Atooma location by setting up a location based smart action (follow the flow until you have to select the desired location, then tap "+") or by going into the SETTINGS tab, and tapping on the "Locations" button, then on "+".

When tapping on "+" Atooma will automatically scan your surroundings to provide the new location a basic set of data, based on 3g cells, Wifi and GPS.

You will then have two options.

What if the location I want to add is the place I'm in right now?

Then your best choice would be to scroll down and tap on "update cells". Define the scanning time and move around a little so you will maximize the number of detected cells.

What if I want to add a location that is different from the place I'm in right now?

Then your best choice would be to scroll down and tap on " remove cells" so you will delete any relation between the nearby 3g cells and the desired location.

Then use the GPS map to specify the desired location.

After providing location data tap in the top left corner to label the location and save.

Watch out: you WILL NOT be able to edit the name of the location once labeled
